Notice is hereby given that
the Board of Directors of Block House Municipal Utility District will hold a special
meeting on Thursday, March 6, 2008, at 6:30
p.m., at 2600 Block House Drive South,
Leander, Texas. The following
matters may be considered and acted upon at the meeting:
1. Correction Amended and Restated Information Form;
2. Corrected minutes of the September 12, 2007 Board meeting;
3. Director ethics and meeting etiquette;
4. Management Services Agreement with SWWC Services, Inc., including response to 2006/2007 audit deficiencies;
5. District bookkeeping services;
6. Cleaning of Block House Creek near Claudia Drive;
7. Clearing of debris at Hutton Drive;
8. Payment of Pedernales Electric Cooperative bills through Manager’s Account;
9. Leak detection test in connection with water loss accountability;
10. Inflow and infiltration inspections;
11. Consider amending 2007/2008 budget, including Resolution Adopting Amended Budget;
12. Proposal(s) for restrictive covenants management, including Preferred Association Management Company;
13. Conference room speaker phone (Director Davis);
14. Display/projection equipment (Director Davis);
15. Report on task monitor software (Director Davis);
16. Winter averaging for wastewater service (Director McMullen);
17. Report on status of District projects, including:
(a) ventilation of Tumlinson Pool rest rooms and lifeguard office area, including electrical connection;
(b) Tonkawa Park playscape improvements, including acceptance of improvements;
(c) inventory of District signage; and
(d) fence along Susan Lane Channel; and
18. Proposed development of Jumano Park, including:
(a) proposals for renovations to existing building at wastewater treatment plant site; and
(b) possible contribution from BHC Owners Association, Inc.
The Board of Directors is authorized by the Texas Open Meetings Act to convene in closed or executive session for certain purposes. These purposes include receiving legal advice from the District’s Attorney (Section 551.071); discussing real property matters (Section 551.072); discussing gifts and donations (Section 551.073), discussing personnel matters (Section 551.074) or discussing security personnel or devices (Section 551.076). If the Board of Directors determines to go into executive session on any item on this agenda, the presiding officer will announce that an executive session will be held and will identify the item to be discussed and provision of the Open Meetings Act that authorizes the closed or executive session.
