About Our Pools

The Block House MUD operates two pools in the district for the recreational benefit of its residents.  Tumlinson Pool is located in Tumlinson Park near the front of the neighborhood; Apache Pool is nestled in the middle of the neighborhood off of Block House Drive.  The Block House pools are a great place to hold a party. Please note that about 10 minutes before closing time, the pool staff will ask swimmers to clear the pool so that they can change clothes or collect your belongings while the staff prepares to shut down the pool.

Tumlinson Pool
Tumlinson Pool, located in Tumlinson Park, is a family-friendly destination for summer activities. Tumlinson is a zero-entry pool – that means you step into ankle-deep water and the floor gradually descends to five feet in depth. The mushroom waterfall and newly-installed three-tiered slide are the biggest attractions for children. Vending machines, outdoor showers, lawn chairs and lots of shade make Tumlinson Pool ideal for a day of family fun. Tumlinson Pool is open May through September, and water aerobics classes are also available.


Apache Pool.

Apache Pool
The Apache Pool is six lanes across and ranges in depth from three feet at the edges to five feet in the middle. During open swim, half of the pool is available to lap swimmers and the other half is open for families and play. There is also an area for children with a depth of two feet.

Swim lessons and water aerobics are available during the summer. With plenty of room for lounging and machines to provide cool beverages, the Apache Pool is the perfect place for sunbathing and meeting neighbors. Apache pool is also home to the Tidal Wave Swim Team
